Learning the Business

A couple of years ago my husband bought the construction company that he had been employed by for the past 20 years. He’s decided that he wants to teach our son the business. They’ve started going down to the latest construction site every Saturday morning. The first time they went was three weeks ago. Our son, who is eight years old, came home and told me all about skid pallets. I pretended that I didn’t know what he was talking about, but of course I did. After all, I’ve been married to a man who knows construction for over ten years. I’ve picked up a thing or two during that time.
