Ever had this Happen to You?

A friend of mine called me a while back to invite me to his housewarming party. He and his wife were finally buying the house of their dreams after more than a year of looking. It had everything they were looking for and the deal was all but done but then all of a sudden he called me back a few hours later.
The bank and called to let him know that he had been turned down for his loan. He asked what he could do and they simply told him, “Improve Your Credit Rating.” I couldn’t help but feel terrible for him.
