My Daughter Will Have a Better Life in the United States

When my daughter first told me that she had fallen in love with the American college student in her class at the university, I really didn’t think too much about it. He would go back home, and she would find someone here to marry, and that would be it. I was so wrong. When I heard the couple discussing obtaining one of the colombia fiancee visas for my daughter, I finally realized that she was planning to leave Colombia, her friends, and her family. This makes me so sad, but I am at least happy for the life that she can have in the United States.
